Hours before Hurricane Lilly passed into Louisiana, members of TKE came to the rescue.  Mu Zeta went around the area filling sandbags and distributing them to the local community.  Once Lilly was gone we also helped days after cleaning up.  For our actions we were recognized by the following people:  Judy Daniels Dean of Student Life at Nicholls State University, Members of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce, and Congressman Billy Tauzin.

 

This semester we thought it would be nice to do something with one of the area schools.  We decided to go to South Thibodaux Elementary School and paint pumpkins with Ms. Martin's 5th grade class.  We had a great time and are expecting to go back during the Christmas break.
